CEO of Cybeles was invited by BOI (Board of Investment, Thailand) to present how to establish and to be a successful biotech company in Thailand during BIO 2010 International Convention, Chicago, USA.
The 2010 BIO International Convention, the global’s largest annual event for biotechnology industry was finished. It was a great success for Biotechnology, pharmaceutical and medical industries. This event was from Manday, May 3 through Thursday, May 6 at McCormick Place Convention Centre in Chicago, USA.
At Thailand Pavillion, Mr. George Gottmann, CEO of Cybeles presented the topic "From distribution to R&D and manufacturing at Thailand Science Park" for mini forums on Wednesday, May 05, 2010.
Georg said "Thailand focuses on the predispositions that offers businesses to Biotech Company. Thailand is a big market compared to the other countries in this region. You can negotiate and customize terms with the government officials. You can get award from BOI when you start up. The overall business environment did lead us to make the decision in favor of Thailand.
It is also very attractive because the infrastructure is good, the labor cost is low and the cost of living is low. The workforce is well educated and efficient and Thailand also has a strategic location in Southeast Asia.
