CEO of Cybeles was invited by BOI to participate opening ceremony of Thailand Pavilion at BIO 2008, San Diego, USA.
Mr. George Gottmann, CEO of Cybeles was invited to participate opening ceremony of Thailand Pavilion at BIO 2008 in San Diego, USA on 17 June 2008. The Thai Pavilion was jointly organized by National Science and Technology Development Agency (NSTDA), Board of Investment (BOI), Thailand Center of Excellence for Life Sciences (TCELS).
The inauguration ceremony was officiated by the minister of Science and Technology, H.E.Wuthipong Chaisang, with the Secretary General of BOI, Mr. Satit Chanjavanakul, Chairman of the Board of TCELS, Prof. Emeritus Dr. Pornchai Matangkasombat, Deputy Permanent Secretary Ministry of Science and technology, Prof. Dr. Chaivat Toskulkao
and the President of NSTDA, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sakarindr Bhumirata.
On this occasion, BIOTEC and eight private biotechnology companies were part of the exhibitors in the Pavilion showing Thailand as a Global medical hub. “The 2008 BIO International Convention” is considered as the world’s largest annual event for the biotechnology industry. The convention was attended by more than 2,200 biotechnology companies, academic institutions, state biotechnology centers and related organizations from 70 countries, including high-level executives from the genetic engineering and biotechnology field all over the world.
